Freeview in South West Wiltshire

Freeview is digital television which uses a regular TV aerial for reception.

At the moment the main transmitters are transmitting a mixture of analogue (non-widescreen, old style BBC1, BBC2, ITV, C4 and maybe 5 ) on full power and digital (freeview) on reduced power.

You may be aware that the analogue (normal) transmission will stop. The timetable is available here

The main transmitters are Hannington, Mendip, Rowridge, Salisbury & Stockland Hill.

Repeater transmitters such as Westwood, Crockerton, Chitterne, Shrewton transmit no digital service at present. They will do so when the analogue signal is switched off, and even then it's unlikely that they will transmit the full suite of freeview channels, but will include BBC1-2, ITV and ch4-5.
